Worked well, no better than well - great!
Windows 7 Ultimate on an old Acer AspireOne netbook.
Thanks for a more convenient way to stay updated.

Yes, I confirm, it works perfectly on Win7, but on Win10, as I wrote.

... but the download & update option does not work, I get an error, why?
Well, my Polish is quite bad
but it seems there something wrong with the connection.
It seems you're running Windows 10. What is your .NET framework version ?.
Can you copy/paste the error messages, at least Google translate can help a bit.
Cheers.

Well, on the Windows 10 you're running, because since I created this thread, 99% of the reports were about Windows 10.
Cheers.

.NET Framework version 4.8 installed
Daniel, I'm working great on Win7. It's enough for me.
It would be good if the program showed a version that will be downloaded and installed.

Daniel.
The problem in Win10 (with me) was that when Norton Security is turned off, "GD77_FirmwareLoader" works fine. When Norton Security is enabled (enabled), "GD77_FirmwareLoader" does not work well.
Thank you Daniel for the wonderful work (contribution)

Hi Daniel,
I had a Firmwareloader problem with GD-77 not found on several Win 10 x64 systems. "Unable to detect your radio."
I extracted the new loader into the directory that held the files for the old loader update.exe. It was that way on all 3 systems I tested.
When I tried a 4th system the old loader directory was not on that system. I extracted the new loader to the desktop and ran from there fine.
I went back to the other 3 problem systems and ran the new loader from anywhere other than the directory with the old loader and it works fine.
Here's a list of the files that were present in the old updater directory named Eng v103_170830
Config.ini
GD77_Firmwareloader.exe
hid.dll
mfc90.dll
msvcr90.dll
OpenGD77_latest.sgl
setupapi.dll
STDFU.dll
STTubeDevice30.dll
Update.exe
It turns out the loader does not like the file setupapi.dll to be present in the same directory as GD77_Firmwareloader.exe.
The loader also does not like spaces in the directory name. Eng v103_170830 has a space. If the space is there you lose the status message "Detected mode GD-77"
I hope this helps in case others experience the same problem.

Okay, nice findings.
About the DLLs, I just checked the Windows specific code, related to UsbLib, and it PInvoke hid.dll, user32.dll, setupapi.dll and kernel32.dll. So some incompatibilities was probably happening in your 3 failing cases.
About the path with spaces, I need to test this to find the reason why it fails.
Cheers.

I Just tried (Windows 7 & Windows 10) with a folder named "Eng v103_170830", in a sub-folder, and even at the root of "C:", and I cannot reproduce this.
BTW, by "loosing status message" you mean the terminal window stays blank, or the terminal window doesn't show up ?.
Cheers.
