Ok.
I thought it had much less RAM. ( see my GitHub comment).
I don’t understand your question about uploading the entire program to control the radio.
The OpenGD77 is a complete replacement of the official GD77 firmware.
Edit.
The new data sheets show this chip has more RAM than the GD-77 (or any similar radios e.g. the MD-380 etc)

Re: Radioddity GD-73
I didn't understand why HR_C6000 and HR_C7000 were made by different companies.
After searching the net I found this:

It appears that Dahua (which manufactures the HR_C7000) is from the same group as Zhejiang Hongrui Communication Technology Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of the C6000.
It is also curious that the president of the company of the C6000, has many positions in Dahua.
The most curious thing is that Hytera Communications Corporation appears in this whole group.
You don’t know where one company starts and where the next ends.

General Manager at Zhejiang Hongrui Communications Technology Co., Ltd. is at the same time:
Chairman & General Manager at Zhejiang Dahua Digital Technology Co. Ltd.
Director & Executive Vice President at Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co. Ltd.
So really ... the HR_C7000 is made by the same people as the HR_C6000

Re: Radioddity GD-73
Dahua bought Hongrui
Probably part of the deal was that some of the directors of Hongrui become directors in the parent company

Re: Radioddity GD-73

As they say; asked and answeredve7mdt wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 3:44 pmThe range is somewhat limited due to it mini antenna, which I have found to be similarly limited on other radios w/ similar small antennas on them (WLN C1, Baofeng BF-T1 etc), so it's expected.
Many users use these radios as "hotspot clients", which I find somewhat amusing.
