New Beta 2024 04 12
Re: New Beta 2024 04 12
i ran into the no-audio problem here too. i have 5x md-uv390. all with the 20240412 beta. after 1-2 minutes of idle or scan the audio and beep goes away. if i go to options-audio and re-select beep then it comes back. if i force open the squelch it comes back. if i set Eco to 0 the problem goes away (default is Eco =1). the firmware info screen says cpu:stm, 0x0413, 0x1007,0x0005,512kb. one of the others does it too, one does not, other 2 not tested. i will re-post when i figure which other is also doing it.

Re: New Beta 2024 04 12
I'm running the beta on an md-390 10w. I don't know if this is something that can/should be fixed, but the minimum volume level seems to be quite loud, especially when listening in a quiet room. I can turn the volume down right up to the edge of where it cuts off completely, but the lowest setting is still rather loud.
I'd there a way to adjust this in settings? I've dug through the menus and haven't seen anything related. Maybe in calibration? If not, I'd really appreciate it if it could be addressed in a future update! Assuming it's even possible from a firmware perspective of course.
Thanks much, this firmware is fantastic compared to the stock firmware!

FM, DMR or both?VA7WZD wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 4:54 pmI'm running the beta on an md-390 10w. My RT3S are more the other way around, sometimes I wish my radio had more volume.
For DMR you can try to reduce the RX AGC, FM has no settings that affect received volume.
Re: New Beta 2024 04 12
I've only noticed it in FM, I haven't had a chance to listen to much DMR traffic in my area so far. Just sitting here in my living room I need to put the radio facedown on a pillow while it's at minimum volume for it to be comfortably listenable.SA0BUX wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 5:23 pmFM, DMR or both?VA7WZD wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 4:54 pmI'm running the beta on an md-390 10w. It's strange that nobody reported such problem.
Send me an email, I will have some stuff to test for you.

Re: New Beta 2024 04 12
I’ve received my radio and loaded the RT-84 version on the DM-1701B. It doesn’t have the cropped screen issues as above. It works great here in VK.
It even has enough room for the worldwide contacts database.
Re: New Beta 2024 04 12
Hello friends
I just installed the beta version (2024 04 12) on my Baofeng 1701
Everything is fine compared to previous versions, except that I do not get the VOICE option from the menu: OPTIONS - SOUND - PROMPT
I have the latest voices loaded from the CPS (Spanish in this case)
Greetings
He answered:
I have used another UV380 compatible file and it seems to have been solved.
Thanks friends

Are you sure you updated the voice prompts with the latest available packs (.vpr)? If any voice option is available it's because it's missing or the installed version mismatches.EA2RE wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 3:26 pmHello friends

Re: New Beta 2024 04 12
I have solved it with a UV380 compatible file dated 2023-12-15. The vpr files dated 2024-04-26 are the ones that have given me problems.F1RMB wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 3:29 pmHi,
