Hi all,
I posted a semiofftopic here viewtopic.php?t=3434&start=10#p31058 about Windows 11 and cps driver problems.
Not only one, I have a lot of problems with VarAC, WSJT, USB serial adapters.. a big pain! I never have this problems with my others PCs running Windows 7.
Anyone knows where are the thing? The pc is a laptop Lenovo T470, with ssd and 8gb ram.
Thanks in advance and cheers!
Windows 11 a big pain for hams?
Re: Windows 11 a big pain for hams?
it depends of what kind of USB TTL chip your cable uses.
some older or fake/clone Prolific chips are problematic with modern versions of Windows (unless you use a really old version of the driver)
CH340 is more reliable, FTDI too (except fakes/clones) and Silicon Labs too.
