MD-9600 OpenGD77 CPS Import error

I have updated my MD-9600 to the OpenGD77 firmware and having an issue getting my existing data to Import into the OpenGD77 CPS.

I have used G4EML's program to produce the 5 .csv file, which I assume I will need to import each of them, however, when I go to, say Contacts, and select Import, I get the popup box saying "Data input error", the same when I try Channels.

If I Export, say the default Channel and Contact listings, when looking at the .csv files, the columns don't match.

Any suggestings pleae as to where I may be going wrong?

The format of CSV files is different for my utilities and the CPS and also for different types of radios.

If you are using them to convert codeplugs you will need to adjust the columns so that they match those produced by the CPS. This is easily done using excel which can easily cut and paste entire columns or rows.

Thanks for the reply Colin.

The OpenGD77 cps doesn't seem to have any Inport, or Export options, so not found what the .csv format should be.

The 5 .csv files produced by your program do contain all my data and the only method I've found to write to a cps file is your program.

If I create a new code plug, append my .csv, the right number of contacts are shown, but only 3 of the 123 channels, when I save the data as a .g77, this opens ok, but with only 3 default channels.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Richard,

If you are only seeing 3 channels imported then it would tend to indicate that the rest are invalid for some reason.

The CSV format is very critical and as I said it does change between radio types and usually needs some manual editing.

Send my your CSV files to g4eml@gb3gf.co.uk and I will have a look at them.
