CPS channel "Radio ID" property and some weird behaviour
CPS channel "Radio ID" property and some weird behaviour
Hi all,
I've returned to the OpenGD77 firmware and CPS after some time away and am trying to personalize a codeplug I have received from local repeater keeper GM7RYR. This is from a previous version of the OpenGD77 CPS, but not too old. I am using the latest OpenGD77CPSInstaller_E2022.05.04.01.exe.
First issue - it appears that each channel has its own Radio ID embedded, and this is not following the Radio ID in the 'master' dialog. Is this a bug, or a I expected to change the Radio ID in over 250 channels in the codeplug? if the latter, can I make a feature request that it be automated somehow? See screenshot below.
Second issue - if I have the channel spreadsheet view open as below:
then open an individual channel record from the browser on the left, the spreadsheet row gets corrupted/scrambled:
I am assuming this is a bug?

Re: CPS channel "Radio ID" property and some weird behaviour
Hi,
It's a per-channel DMRId override if non-empty.GM7WFT wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 8:10 amHi all,

Check your Excel encoding, and also the CSV it generates (compare with one exported by the CPS; Excel likes to put extra quotes, etc).
Re: CPS channel "Radio ID" property and some weird behaviour
Following this thread...
" It's a per-channel DMRId override if non-empty. "
It's the code plug from my radio that Gareth has.
How would I stop this happening in future version ?

Re: CPS channel "Radio ID" property and some weird behaviour
If for whatever reason you need to use a specific DMR ID, different from the one you defined in the "DMR ID and Callsign" window, you can fill the channel's DMR ID text box.
Otherwise, leave it empty, the firmware will use the "master" one.
Re: CPS channel "Radio ID" property and some weird behaviour
Excel is not directly involved here - when I say "spreadsheet view" I mean the CPS window you get from menu "Settings" -> "Channels" in the CPS.

Hi,
It's now fixed and will be part of the next release.
Cheers.

Yes, that's a bug, thanks for spotting this one.
