Re: OpenGD77 hotspot Running Openwrt
Thanks.
I have an ASUS router, which I am not using, but I don't know if OpenWRT is available for it.
If you already have a router, this is an interesting option, but probably an OrangePi using PiStar (Raspberry Pi) is cheaper than a router

Re: OpenGD77 hotspot Running Openwrt
asus flashed Padavan firmware also can run mmdvmhost ,ssh it ,then just wget http://www.taozhengbo.com/mmdvm/MMDVMHost ,
and chmod +x MMDVMHost ,and ./MMDVMHost , run
,also you need MMDVM.ini file you can copy some need file from pi-star raspi /etc,i will post MMDVMhost ramip files later, welcome to test on asus router.
don't need buy some router just use your old one ,router didn't need tf card ,so it is better then some pi.

Hello
do you think is possible to use the router GL.iNet GL-MT300N-V2 ?
Openwrt is already installed and it cost less than 23 € now
best regards

Re: OpenGD77 hotspot Running Openwrt
i review gl.inet_gl-mt300n_v2 hardware,16m flash and 128m ram hardware is ok.
you can try https://github.com/jumbo77/mt7620/blob/ ... 128_b3.bin this firmware.
after install
user:root pass:12345678 web ip http://192.168.8.1 SSID:DMRP25YSF-xxx

Re: OpenGD77 hotspot Running Openwrt
FYI
Many people have problems with RF induction into the USB cable when using Hotspot mode.
Fix is to use ferrite clamp on the USB cable and if possible connect the radio to an external antenna

Re: OpenGD77 hotspot Running Openwrt
usb cable design for rx mode for cps , low power tx operation,50mw-250mw,high power need turn ant to external ,or diy a short usb cable,or use Ferrite Beads Rings.
Re: OpenGD77 hotspot Running Openwrt
Yes.
Low power is OK.
Short cable would also be better than a long cable. Just cut a section from the middle of the cable and join it again.
