Your GD77 values looks similar to the manual.

Thank you very much, I have been looking for this information for a long time, and finally saw someone post this data. It is very convenient for pistar users.

Hi,

Seems like many people here never looked at the user manual. I wonder if it's still worth maintaining and updating...

Cheers.

Hi,

Yes, I know some people are using it. And I know these same people are also constantly telling other people to read the user manual when they are asking some over-answered same questions.
But I find really irritating is because a forum exists, that some just jump into it, ask a question without any preliminary effort to check if it hasn't been already answered, or if it's not documented into that bloody user manual.
I know some forums where you get an instant ban acting like this, and in the end this is fine IMHO.

Cheers.

I am sure you are correct, the only question is how much is 'many'.

I do use the manual. The trouble with a manual for a project like this is keeping it up to date and concise. That is nearly a full time job outside the development / code upkeep issues.

I find the manual well written and very useful and would miss it greatly if it was abandoned. Just remember the ones using the manual are not the ones asking the repeat basic questions over and over on the forums, so it is hard to gauge just how 'many' that is.

Finally, despite all these repeat queries on features / issues covered in the manual, it means the project is valued by many a person out there, and seems to be growing. The fact that Roger and others like yourself have managed to keep this moving forward and improving despite all that come ups over the years is a testament to the vision and dedication.

Sincerest Thank You to Roger and all the development / upkeep team. It gives many of us a great DMR / dual band UV radio at a good price point that allows us to do so much with what we have or are able to acquire. Even the top tier manufactures are hard pressed to match the functionality and ease of use the firmware of this project provides. I personally get more out my radios with the OpenXX firmware on them then top tier radios, especially the MD-9600. I have access to professional level radios (Motorola) and due to my work with local government access to funds to equip my vehicle if I so choose to do so. Yet I am better served by my MD-9600 with Open firmware on it then any thing else. Simply amazing and totally functional.

All the best - AA3RP
