Ok.

I thought it had much less RAM. ( see my GitHub comment).

I don’t understand your question about uploading the entire program to control the radio.

The OpenGD77 is a complete replacement of the official GD77 firmware.

Edit.

The new data sheets show this chip has more RAM than the GD-77 (or any similar radios e.g. the MD-380 etc)

The HR-C7000 seems like a whole new generation of this series. This time we have a Software application manual, which is more detailed.
Who are "we"? Do you mean you have access to such manual? Can you share more about it if you do? You know that could help some of us here right? Please don't tease us like that! haha.
Here :D

Cheers.

I didn't understand why HR_C6000 and HR_C7000 were made by different companies.

After searching the net I found this:

Currently identified subsidiaries / affiliates of Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Technology Company, or Dahua Technology Company Dahua Technology Company

Dahua Europe B.V.
Dahua India
Dahua Technology Australia PTY LTD
Dahua Technology Brasil Participacoes LTDA
Dahua Technology Colombia S A S
Dahua Technology (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.
Dahua Technology Mexico S.A. of C.V.
Dahua Technology Middle East FZE
Dahua Technology Peru S.A.C.
Dahua Technology Poland
Dahua Technology Rus, LLC
Dahua Technology Singapore PTE. LTD.
Dahua Technology South Africa Proprietary Limited
Dahua Technology USA Inc.
DH Chile SpA
Hangzhou Huacheng Network (or Internet) Technology Co., Ltd.
Hangzhou Tanmu Technology Co., Ltd.
Hangzhou Tecomore Technology Co., Ltd.
Hangzhou Xiaohua Technology Co., Ltd.
Guangxi Dahua Information Technology Co., Ltd.
Guangxi Dahua Security Service Co., Ltd.
Guangxi Dahua Video Technology Co., Ltd.
Guangxi Dahua Zhicheng Co., Ltd.
Guangxi Dahua Zongzhi Technology Co., Ltd.
Shanxi Dahua Tianrun Technology Co., Ltd.
Wuxi Dahua Ruide (or Ryder) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Anfang Internet Operation Service Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Chi Network Technology Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Investment Management Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Juan Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Network Operations Security Services Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Science and Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Security Service Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua System Engineering Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Dahua Zhilian Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Hongrui Communication Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhejian HuaRay Technology Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Huarui Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (listed as pending)
Zhejiang Huatu Weixin Technology Co., Ltd.

It appears that Dahua (which manufactures the HR_C7000) is from the same group as Zhejiang Hongrui Communication Technology Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of the C6000.

It is also curious that the president of the company of the C6000, has many positions in Dahua.
The most curious thing is that Hytera Communications Corporation appears in this whole group.
You don’t know where one company starts and where the next ends.

Jiang Ming Zhu
General Manager at Zhejiang Hongrui Communications Technology Co., Ltd. is at the same time:
Chairman & General Manager at Zhejiang Dahua Digital Technology Co. Ltd.
Director & Executive Vice President at Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co. Ltd.

So really ... the HR_C7000 is made by the same people as the HR_C6000

Dahua bought Hongrui

Probably part of the deal was that some of the directors of Hongrui become directors in the parent company

easy:)
China itself is a corporation, and all those names are just divisions and product groups, so shuffling those around is a normal corporate thing.
I also hard that Dahua is now owned by Alibaba/AliExpress etc

The range is somewhat limited due to it mini antenna, which I have found to be similarly limited on other radios w/ similar small antennas on them (WLN C1, Baofeng BF-T1 etc), so it's expected.

Many users use these radios as "hotspot clients", which I find somewhat amusing.
As they say; asked and answered ;)
