OpenGD77

My MD9600 only receives digital noise after a few transmissions.
Any body else have this problem, and hopefully know of a fix?

My receiver in my MD9600 works most of the time. It quits producing receive audio after a few transmissions.
I get mostly the digital type noise but no audio.
I have tried this radio with two different hotspots. I also have a TYT MD2017 portable that continues to produce receive audio on the same two hotspots when the MD9600 doesn't.
I am wondering if anyone knows of a recent firmware upgrade that may help?

What's firmware version are you using?

Also from what you describe it sounds like you are hearing raw FM not decoded audio

I think you will need to record a short video so we can hear exactly what you mean.

I am using firmware vesion06.07 that was sent to me by TYT.
Unfortunately I don't have a backup copy.
Do you know of an updated firmware version I could get.
My radio is a version 2.
Since my first post here, I have noticed that the MD9600 doesn't decode DMR audio sometimes while just listening.
My MD2017 is close by and decodes the audio ok.

This forum is dedicated to the alternative OpenGD77 derived firmware. As such you may not find much experience here of the Official TYT firmware.

Having said that I have not heard of any similar reports to yours. That would tend to point to your problem being caused by something other than the firmware.

I believe you said you are using a hotspot. They are known for producing less than perfect signals. If you can receive a repeater it would be worth seeing if the problem still persists while listening to that.
