GD-77 Firmware update path?

Good evening from germany.
Please share your experiences with a absolute beginner.
Just got an older GD-77 with V 2.06.03 and DSP HRC6000 V 1.2.6
Which update path is useful and possible, straight to 3.2.2 (4.2.8/4.3.3/4.3.6?) or are intermediate steps required?

I can't help with that. Its such and old radio.
Presuming its for ham radio use, why are you trying to use the official firmware?

As I've read in any instruction guides, first step is, to bring the device up to date with the original firmware.
Is it possible to startup from 2.06.03 to the latest OpenGD77 release?
Cause it's an older one, I don't want risk to brick it.

You can go from any version to the OpenGD77
But the codeplug in the radio won't work unless its a 3.x codeplug
So you need to load a new codeplug using the OpenGD77 CPS
