Daniel, as far as I understand, Mario tries to tell us - if there are any very strong TETRA stations around, the GD77 can not
be used on any channel, due to RF overload in the receiver. But the HD1 can be used in FM without any problems in that area.

a world-renowned gearbox manufacturer has opened a plant for [simple] truck gearboxes in china.
The torque for idling and vibrations were tested in series.
Their resume after two years: "no two are alike" [of the same type of produced gearboxes] .

Looks like, the factory output of Ailunce HD1 is similar, if you read the reviews on eham.net.
Ratings between one and five stars. Some say deaf, others are enthusiastic.

The HD1 has the same RF chip as the GD77, possibly the RF Rx stages have better filtering for out of band signals, or perhaps the case is shielded better.

But the problem with overloading caused by very strong signals, was normally attributed to the RF chip being direct conversion and not having first and second IFs

Yes, thats right.
On the GD77 (and the MD380) I can't use nothing at those places.
And the HD1 is fully functional, and works on FM and DMR without Problems.

I do not have the time or the finances to port to this radio.

Is there any idea to launch "crowdfunding" to promote the development of openGD77 for HD1 project?
