I have heard that some Baofeng DM-5R versions transmit on both time slots, which is not allowed.
Which versions of the DM-5R handle time slots correctly (that is,transmit only on the correct time slot, not both)?
How can I recognize the good versions? Serial number? Product name (V3, plus)? Case design?
DM-5R seems to be the cheapest DMR handset. I want to make sure that I purchase the correct version before I pay it.

How to recognize a good Baofeng DM-5R?
Re: How to recognize a good Baofeng DM-5R?
This radio is not currently fully supported
There are serious problems with Tx power , and Tx power stability, and also the Tx frequency.
With the RD-5R hardware, internal voltage regulator can’t cope with the higher power levels and the backlight flashes, the PA is not well filtered and creates a lot of spurious emissions, the built in mic is muffled and doesn’t work very well, etc etc.
My RD-5R doesn’t work with my hotspot, and other people have the same problem.
Save for a bit longer and and buy a radio that is well designed and works reliably , like the GD-77.
