using OpenGD77 with duplex hotspot

Post by KA1CM » Wed Jan 10, 2024 1:16 am

Hi all,

I'm trying to config and use opengd77 (RT3S) with duplex hotspot (I'm not trying to use hotspot mode). I have MMDVM DUAL HAT on Pi-zero W. setting 7MHz split Hotspot TX 434.95 / RX 441.95. and set the radio to TX 441.95 / RX 434.95. I can hear there traffic from the hotspot, but when I push PTT on the radio, the red led will flash and then big "TIMEOUT" on the screen. This always happen when I'm out of a repeater range. So, I'm suspect that the duplex hat is not sending something back and the radio think it is out of range of a repeater and deny to transmit. What have I done wrong here? How to make this work?

any thought?

Try posting to https://forum.pistar.uk/

But almost certainly you did not calibrate the frequency in your hotspot.

This topic will now be locked as its off-topic and there are other forums which deal with this sort of question
