Need help radio dm1701.

I got a radio dm 1701 and i have the gd77 all loaded and ready to go.
I have laded various dmr channels for London uk but i don't here nothing.

maybe the hotspot no good and i am to far i don't no.
I was thinking of buying this product below

if you can think what up and help me be good, i have tried many youtube channels no luck.
yes the radio does work fully tested.

i got the free software to program the radio from here and it fully working.

any idea before getting that hotspot product above cheers.

Hi there, I have tried seval hours now, and used other ham radio equitment, was going to give up but I'll order the cheap hotspot as I need to get one to get a
connection as all repeaters are not close enough to me for anythink.

Thank you for your kind help I'll update When I get the new hotspot wifi connected.

Ps.
I think that why many give up being honest, to do with the connection problam, there just not many repeaters in london.

You are still not answering the question about your callsign.

I don't have a call sign, as I am doing the foundation course to get my licence....

I don't transmit at all so no need yet for a licence...

All Tx are off and only use static on the hotspot to receve only.

Offcomm has told me that I am doing that correctly as it all legal, just don't key up...

So I got no call sign untill I pass my test sorry.

Yes. AFIK that is correct in the UK.

I presume you are in the UK because you reference Offcomm rather rather than the FCC etc
