Stick to one DMR TG

Post by M7VNS » Sun Mar 05, 2023 4:33 pm

Hi all

Am *very* new to DMR and only installed OpenGD77 on my handset yesterday (MD-UV380).

All running great with my MMDVM hotspot.

What I'm wondering is, say there is a TG I want to hear and not others in the same zone, how do i "stick" with that group and ignore any other traffic?

Am on Brandmeister, hotspot has been setup with a number of static groups.

Is this where I'm going wrong?

Example - Listening to the Raynet TG at the moment but as soon as there is a pause I'm getting traffic jump in from Hubnet.

Don't really want to rid myself of the Hubnet contact but would temporarily like to stick on Raynet only..

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks and 73!

This is a network/hotspot configuration issue and not really anything to do with the radio.

Your hotspot can only transmit one talkgroup at a time. (or two if it is a duplex hotspot). If you have several static talkgroups set up then these all have equal priorities and will be used on a 'first come first served' basis as you have found.

The only way to prevent this is to change the list of static talkgroups.

Thanks... yeah just thought that may be worth a go. Have deleted all the statics for now, keyed up on a TG and now only receiving that. Makes sense so thanks for that!
