SUPPORTED RADIOS - Please read before posting about whether the firmware could work on another type of radio

We constantly get posts asking if the firmware will work on a specific model of radio, or could be converted to run on a specific type of radio.

The firmware will only run on the following radios

NXP MK22 CPU radios:

Radioddity GD-77 / TYT MD-760
Baofeng DM-1801
Baofeng DM-1801A
Baofenng RD-5R / DM-5R Mk2 (Tier 2 version)
Radioddity GD-77S / TYT MD-750

STM32 CPU Radios:

TYT MD-UV380 / TYT MD-UV390 / Retevis RT-3S
TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90
Baofeng DM-1701 / Retevis RT-84

The firmware could in theory be converted to run on any radio which uses the MK22 CPU or the STM32F405VGT CPU and uses the C6000 DMR chip
However, for the firmware to be loaded into the radio the manufacturer's file encryption must already have been cracked.
And.. The firmware loading process must also have been reverse engineered.
Even with all those confitions met, the time taken to convert firmware to another radio, can be hundreds of hours

Radios that also use the MK22 or STM32 CPU and the C6000 include:

Ailunce HD1
TYT MD-2017 / Retevis RT-82
Baofeng DM-1702

In the future its highly unlikely that any new models of radios could be supported, because both TYT and Baofeng no longer use either the MK22 or STM32F405 CPU, or use the C6000 DMR chip.

Most new radios use the new C7000, DMR and combined CPU chip, for which there is currently no way to build the firmware, because there is no publicly available Software Development Kit

Radios that use the C7000 include

Retevis RT-73
TYT MD-9800
Radioddity GD-88
Radioddity GD-73
and many others
