Hi,

I can't remember anyone tried on the RD-5R, but there is no reason that doesn't work, as long as the flash chip is supported by the firmware.

Cheers.

Hi DF1OG,

Thank you for the photo. I'm interested. Do you have any suggestion on the 128Mb chip? Can I use this one from Amazon, just because it is easy and extremely fast shipping.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BD7 ... CHVK0&th=1

Thanks

Hi, I've got 25Q128FVSG from amazon.com and ready to dive in. Just wanna confirm the procedure. This is what I will do
1.Backup Flash
2.Backup Register
3.remove the original chip and replace with the new 25Q128FVSG
4 Restore Flash
5.Restore Register

Do I miss anything?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Daniel, so just back up flash and I'm good to go. Am I correct?
