Hi!
I would like to be a beta tester of the closed development of the OpenGD77 firmware. If my memory is right, I have two accepted pull requests to the code (bug fixing the analog mode properties setting and the DTMF timing), which I believe, show my interest and willingness to help with the development. How to apply for it ?

There is no formal closed beta testing.
I just have a few local hams who I email the files to.
Normally I try to do some testing myself and then just release a beta version, but my work is very busy at the moment, because I have deadlines for the end of the year, and I don't have any time to talk on the radio, and barely enough time just to process the PR's
So I emailed the file to a few people who perhaps talk a bit more on the radio..
The last time I actually spoke to anyone on the radio was 5 days ago, and I don't even turn it on for Rx.
