a) ... is there a quick menu button on den DM-1701 - like "SK1" on the RT3S? there is also no "orange" button on top.

flashed the latest FW - but none of the buttons ("SK1" - "PTT" - "SK2" - "SK3" with "Green") are linked to the "Quick Menu".

b) "up"/"down" buttons changes the programmed TG on the RT3S. on the DM1701 these buttons change the repeater (same as the knob on top). but not the TGs. how to change the TGs on the DM-1701?

It does on other people's radios.

There have been over 500 downloads of the latest DM1701 version, and no one else reported a problem with this button not working

Possibly your radio has a hardware fault.

Is your radio brand new?

was confused because on the RT3s ist "orange" + "green and on the DM1701 it is "orange" only - thats why I got confused.
