Currently my priority is to add the Calibration screen from the UV380 to the other radios, and also to enable CTCSS during DTMF Tx on the MD-9600.
Colin already added it to the MD-9600 but there needs to be some changes to the UI because of the screen size on the MD-9600 is smaller
I started to port the Calibration screen to the GD-77 etc (MK22 MCU radios), but it needs many changes and I did not finish the conversion yet
I have tried the Calibration function in DM-1701. I can use it to Calibrate the transmit power precisely, but it seems the calibration data was not saved to Flash, because, after reboot, all data was reset back to the factory version.
I am still waiting for my new MDUV380 to test and verify all the functions compare to DM1701, and after your code is released, If I found any potential bugs, I will try to fix them after the discussion with you. Or other development work if you need it.

BTW,
I received my MD2017 this morning, I will open it and do some detailed research in the coming days.

The OpenGD77 project takes many hours of my time. Probably 10 hours a week at the moment, because I also maintain the CPS and the User Guide, can currently Colin G4EML is the only other active developer.
Yes, I am doing new radios(actually old) porting support both for the OpenGD77 project and OpenRTX project, I am very glad that I can help you great guys, thank you so much for your contribution to HAM Community and Opensource Community, I also hope to join your team as a member for more future development contribution I can do.
I am also spending quite a lot of time on reverse engineering these radios, of course, In the last 2 weeks, I also spent a lot of money for buying over 10 radios for this.

Re: Calibration
It is only saved permanently to Flash if you press SK2 + Green to leave the calibration.
Pressing Green (without SK2), the calibration is only in memory. This functionality is by design, so that the operator can exit the calibration menu and use the VFO to transmit on some specific frequencies to check the power is correct, e.g. check 435Mhz becuase the calibration point is 430,440,450 etc

Re: MD2017

OK. Thanks.

Re: Source code

I will try to clean the code ready for release, but it will take many hours of work

Hello,

anybody bought rt-84 recently from retevis original site?

Any good site to buy dm-1802 or rt-84 from EUROPE?

FYI

The changes I made to the CPS to allow upload to MD2017 and other radios seems to be confusing some people, and I think people are attempting to load MD-UV380 firmware onto the MD-380 (Single band)

So I have hidden those other options

To un-hide them

Hold Control + Shift when clicking on the Firmware Loader menu and the other radio types will be visible

See

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2725

I forgot to merge an update from Colin to fix DTMF + CTCSS

Also the change to allow row 3 of the keypad to work on the DM-1701 caused problems on some UV380

It's possible that there is a problem on the DM-1701 with SK1 or SK2 but becuase I did not receive this radio yet, I am not able to test some things
