Localistion support (foreign languages)
Re: Localistion support (foreign languages)
Hm, maybe i missed something - but i can't find the latest .h & .csv files to translate.
I would translate .auto_power_off in german:
.auto_power_off = "Auto Aus" // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + 30/60/90/120/180 or .no)
@Daniel:
can you give me a hint about the function please:
.apo_with_rf = "APO with RF" // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + .yes or .no or .n_a)

APO with RF reset the APO timer if you receive a valid signal.DG3GSP wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 5:50 pmHm, maybe i missed something - but i can't find the latest .h & .csv files to translate.

What about the "APO with RF": https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_Us ... po-with-rf

Okay.IZ2EIB wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 7:17 pmThank you very much Daniel and Roger!
About the translation I believe that "Auto Pwr-off" is also fine in Italian, considering that it is easy to understand and that the literal translation into Italian would widely exceed the limit of 16 characters available.
So "Auto Pwr-Off" is okay:
.auto_power_off = "Auto Pwr-Off" // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + 30/60/90/120/180 or .no)

About voice prompt, I think that a possible translation into Italian can be "Spegnimento automatico" which gives the idea of what is the meaning of the function, so:
"Spegnimento automatico"
Thanks again for the terrific work you are carrying out!!!

@Roger, @Daniel
Hi Daniel.
With only 16 characters, the Italian translation is difficult.
I believe "APO RF reset" is also understandable in Italian, so in my opinion the translation could be:
.apo_with_rf = "APO RF reset" // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + .yes or .no or .n_a)
About voice prompt, I believe that the correct translation can be "Reset dello spegnimento automatico" which explains the meaning of the function, so:
"Reset dello spegnimento automatico"
Many, many thanks again to both, Daniel and Roger.
You are doing a great job!

Possibly he voice prompt of "Reset dello spegnimento automatico" is not complete becuase it does not include that the shutdown timer is reset when there is any Rx RF signal.
Re: Localistion support (foreign languages)
Hi Roger.
In fact you are not wrong, you are right.
Trusting that for the voice prompt there are no limitations in the number of characters, of course within a certain number, I would say that the following translation could be used:
"Reset dello spegnimento automatico con squelch aperto"
Roger, thank you very much for your tireless work!

That text will be OK, because there is no limit to the text for the voice prompts
Thanks
