DM-1701 - Win11 Driver Error (STM Device in DFU mode)

I just upgraded the CPS to the latest version (portable install & driver installation)

When connecting the DM-1701 (already in Flash-Mode - LED red/green flashing) to my kenwood - USB cabel, I get the warning, that the device was not connected properly. Moreover I get a warning in the Win device-manger - "STM Device in DFU Mode" - but with a waring sign!

Previously my setup (same cable etc) worked flawlessly...

As well as I upgraded my RT3s (2 pcs) without any issue - so the STM DFU driver works with the RT3s but not with DM-1701.

I always thought, they hat both the STM32 chip inside so they should either both work or none of them.

I also tried serveral other STM DFU driver like the one with "Dfuse_3.0.6_drivers" from the the STM Website...

Anybody any idea how to proceed?

thx

Are you sure you're using the correct cable (it's not the same as the RT3S).

thanks for the quick repsonse.

yes - I used the same cable as for the RT3s.. but now I found another cable without a label (also without FTDI adaper).

I'll give it a try!

thx & 73

The included Retevis RT3S cable normally have a plastic casing with a Retevis label on it.

The DM-1701 is only with molded connectors in both ends and have no markings.

thanks guys - the right cable did the trick :D

updated the DM1701 without any issues.

I forgot that the RT3s and DM1701 can't share the same cable...

Thanks for the support & 73
