Hi SA0BUX,
I use this cable to program the DM1701
Image

I think it is quite different from the GD-77 cable programmer.

At the moment I haven't check the usb pin

Hi All,
I bought a DM-1701 from less a month with an external "Shoulder Speaker Mic". Still before I modified this radio to opengd77 firmware, neither PTT and loudspeaker were working.
In this days, I was able to test that not working microphone on my Baofeng-1701, with a Baofeng 888S: it works fine (ptt and loudspeaker).

Then, now I'm quite sure, my 1701 has not standard "K" dual pin connector.

There is still the problem to know the right diagram of the dual pin interface of my Baofeng 1701 ...

It could still be some internal problem (soldering/broken) with the connector that makes it possible to program the radio but not able to use the audio pins.

I don't hope so ...

... have a look at the Amazon site.

They sell two kind of program USB cable:
- for "BaoFeng Dm 5r Dm 1701" (like what I have) [https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0CFS5N3BH];
- for "Baofeng UV-5R UV-82 BF-888S" with Driver CD Software [https://www.amazon.it/Programmazione-ri ... 07MZQ5D3W/]

Do you think they are different for the different software driver and not for the 2 pin connector diagram ?

UV-5R cables embed a USB to serial chip.
RD-5R/DM-1701, or any radio supported by the OpenGD77, don't.

DM-1701 works with DM-1801 and RD-5R cables, basically other Baofeng direct USB cables.
It does not work with Baofeng UV-5R etc cables that have a USB to Serial converter chip in the plug.

DM-1701 cables are also not the same as TYT UV380 / MD760 etc etc cables, in that the USB D+ and D- signals are swapped.
To swap the USB D+ and D- signals, does it mean to swap RX data pin with TX data pin into "k" connector?

And if it is so, do MIC- and PTT follow RX data pin?

Because if I have to change the "MIC- RxData PTT" pin with the "TX data" pin into "k" connector, I understand too why my external "Shoulder Speaker Mic" doesn't work on my 1701 ....
