That depends on exactly what you mean by contacts.

The radio will hold 1024 contacts to be used for making calls, such as talkgroups and friends private IDs.

It can also hold the entire world database of DMR IDs, used to display the call sign and name for an incoming call.

Just to slightly clarify

Digital Contacts and be Private Call or Talk Group.

Total is 1024

The "All Call" contact type is not supported.

Digital Contacts are primarily use to set the TalkGroup or DMR ID for a Private Call for Transmission
They can also be used for Rx call filtering.

It depends on the number of characters you choose to download. If you choose the minimum of 16 characters, it will hold 937163 DMR ids. If you max it out to 50 characters (as I do) it'll hold just 342864 ids, which of course is far more than the current worldwide total.

For comparison, I believe the stock firmware only allows around 120K. Thank you so much, to the OpenGD77 crew!! 👏
