Zip the backup files, mostly it will be 0x00 for the main Flash backup, and the file will be much smaller

Ok, Thanks for explaining this.

When I install the open gd77 firmware, the CPS says something like’firmware update completed’ then the radio goes from black screen directly to the ‘settings updated’ screen. But no buttons are working after this.
(If I go back to original firmware, all buttons are working fine).

Can you give more details about this radio. Is not new or old etc.

Did it work with an older version of OpenGD77 ??

FYI.

This problem is very similar to the problem with very old MD2017 radios.

Could send me the backup of your flash (private email, and you have to put the binary file somewhere on the internet, as it is too large for email).
You will find my email address on QRZ.com.
Also, from the CPS, Extas -> OpenGD77 Support, read the secure register, and send it as well.
Yes, I will try to send Thea files as soon as possible. (Should be within a few days).
You need to explain to me what the binary file is?

It is about a year old. I bought it to get open GD77.

First time I installed open GD77, it worked perfectly, with no problems at all.
When the first version of open GD77 with color themes Came I installed that. And it worked perfectly, until a day I was using the radio and it suddenly showed the settings updated screen and all buttons stopped working.
After that I tried installing the newest version of GD77 and after it did not work I switched to the original firmware and everything worked perfectly fine. I have then tried re installing open GD77 but unfortunately with no luck.

The binary file is the flash backup, as you told us that you restore the flash
When I restore flash and go back to the original firmware...

I have just send you the files via wetransfer.
Looking forward to hearing from you, if you have a solution to this mystery.
I appreciate your help very much!

Sorry to be a bit late. I tried to download your files, but the download link just expired...
Could you make another one ?

Cheers.
