It looks like they simply use the High power calibration value as 10W, However I don't understand why the Low power setting in the calibration does not produce 1W

Do you know what power the radio produces on the Low setting when using the official firmware ?

BTW.

To reload the official firmware you will also need to reload an official CPS and to do this you need to change setting.ini password=0 to password=password

That explains why the 1W setting in the OpenGD77 firmware produces 2.4W on VHF etc, because the Low setting on the 5W radios is 1W hence the OpenGD77 firmware presumes that the Low setting from the calibration data is 1W

I'm surprised that TYT did not calibrate these new radios correctly, as it looks like they just use the same power calibration data table for 5W radios even for the 10W radio.

Probably the best thing you can do is to use the Calibration screen in OpenGD77 to calibrate the power for the 1W setting to be 1W.
But the power levels below 1W may be inaccurate , because the firmware will need to be changed for the 10W radio to have difference coeffecients applied

Hi!
If I connect a power meter to the Unified State Exam 390 Plus 10W, and through calibration mode (in the OpenGD77 firmware) I change the data so that they correspond to what is written ( 50 - 250 - 500 -750 - 1 -2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 ). Will this help you make changes to the firmware?

No.

Probably the most usefull thing would be to set radio to User Power level "-W+" and then adjust the User power level in the Options->Radio options, until the output is 1W and also repeat for 5W, and post the values required to create those power levels on both VHF and UHF

The problem is the manufacturer (TYT) should calibrate the radios for Low = 1W, Mid = 5W, High = 10W power levels when using the official firmware but if you are seeing 2.5W when the OpenGD77 has 1W selected, then the Low power calibration data in the radio is creating 2.5W

You could also reload the official firmware and select Low, Mid and High power and confirm what power output the official firmware is producing

BTW.
To reload the official Codeplug, you need to modify the setting.ini file for the official CPS and change the line that reads password=0 to password=password

Today I will send a table with the calibrations that turned out to be on the TYT 390 Plus 10W.
But only you can add items 6-7-8-9-10W to the menu.
