Hi all,
Chapeau for the Devs and the great work around the APRS. I already tested it and works great on RT3S with GPS in the Mountains.

One thing I couldn't wrap my head around is how can I use the FM APRS and same time listening on 145.500 or 145.550MHz as normally this are the CQ and SOTA frequencies. Did I miss something?

The firmware does not support listening on one frequency and transmit APRS on a different frequency.

I'm kinda hoping that "does not" means "does not yet"? :)

I played with my APRS channel settings and I could keep the TX on the APRS frequency ( 144.800 in Europe ) and set the RX on another repeater
frequency.
It worked and I could monitor that repeater even if the radio was transmitting APRS on an interval.

Hi,

The problem here is could/will trigger collisions, as it couldn't check the frequency before beaconing.

Cheers.

Yes, that was my feeling too.

But I wonder if all aprs implementations check that.

BTW, I plan to visit a radio club tonight to listen on a presentation about aprs and winlink.

Thanks to Daniel F1RMB for most of these new features and bug fixes and to Colin G4EML for the 1750Hz tone generation

Thanks to all working on APRS functionality!
I am curious what the end goal is. If you can't monitor/operate on any of your programmed channels while the APRS beaconing is happening in the background (like every other APRS enabled mobile radio I've seen) it isn't of any use to me. But if that's the goal, cool beans

As many of the other radios only have a single RX/TX circuit (Like Anytone 878) those radios must switch over to the APRS frequency to
send a status update, so it must be some very short interruption.
