screen on with volume knob?

Hi,

I like the visual volume bar, but it does not show when the screen is off (display mode: Auto). Is it possible to implement?
Also, is there are any option to activate the backlight without modifying/interrupting the current QSO? The volume knob would be a good chance, but it don't do it.

Define a minimum backlight value. There is no valid reason to light up the screen to display the volume bar (plus, there are some noise on that line, hence it would lights up for nothing).
If you want to trigger the backlght (when in "Auto" mode, press SK1, that doesn't interrupt anything.
