New bug fix Beta 2023 09 04

Post by VK3KYY » Sun Sep 03, 2023 11:07 pm

Because of several high priority bugs, a new version has been created

https://opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380_ ... fba1f0ddd9
https://opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380_ ... are/Latest

This version fixes the APRS Tx lock problem , when no location has been set, it also fixes the "APRS Tx" text display on top of the channel name

Note.
The bug about the theme item names has not yet been fixed

This this post for full details about the major changes in yesterday's release

Thats strange

I just did a full reset and the volume display works OK for me

However I don't normally have it turned on.

Can you try resetting you settings and trying again.

Update

Daniel has now fixed the problem with the Theme names, however I don't want to release 2 Betas on the same day and people may report other bugs, so I won't release an update until tomorrow at the earliest

OK. Its strange that it should have needed a full reset.

Just another small bug
If you do Aprs TX and have PTT lock on, the frame is sent and the TX stops, but the screen shows "APRS TX" and only goes to the next PTT.
It's nothing major, but I use the PTT lock when I'm driving and it's "hands-free", which has already saved me some traffic fines.

OK

I never considered people would lock the PTT and try to send APRS

The APRS will need to override the PTT lock.

You are doing a really great job, congratulations to those who dedicate their time to the development of OpenGD77. One question: would it technically be possible to have APRS also in reception or does the radio have an HD/SW limit for such an implementation?
