In this case, switch to US locale, and try again.

Stupid question, did you put your transceiver in bootloader mode (SK1 + PTT + Power on) ?

What appears in the windows device manager when you activate DFU mode?

I'm not at home now but I will show what I see in my device manager later tonight.

Yesterday tried. 5 minutes before again tested.
Same error.

Today I read some posts in the forum.
I think I have same problem which one Turkish friend had 2 years before.

I did not understand,

I changed my laptop location to USA.

I am using original TYT USB dongel.
I have replaced all drivers and installed the one which notified in the first page of this topic.

Now my device shown as "STM Device in DFU Mode" .
The TYT CPS program works with it.
If the STM Device was not in DFU Mode the TYT CPS should not work.
(TYT CPS downloaded which you given link in the first page of this topic)

I used the firmware uploader which you given the link in first page of topic.
Then upload the "GPS ONLY MD-UV390(CSV-GPS)-P18.16.bin" firmware to the uv390.

After it I get codeplugs and test copies.

Finally !!!!

I think problem does in the OpenGD77 CPS software.

This is not a file that should be used to install OpenGD77.

1. You should install latest OpenGD77 CPS from https://opengd77.com/downloads/CPS/Latest/

2. Download latest firmware for MD-UV380/MD-UV390: downloads/MDUV380_DM1701/Firmware/Lates ... DUV380.bin

3. Download donor software for the DMR support https://www.passion-radio.com/index.php ... chment=760

4. Unzip the ZIP file downloaded in step 3 and save the file MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin in the PC as it's needed later

5. Connect powered off radio to computer with programming cable.

6. Start the OpenGD77 CPS that was installed in step 1

7. Power on radio in DFU mode , red/green led flash

8. In the OpenGD77CPS, set the radio type to MD9600 / MD-UV380
In the OpenGD77CPS, select the MD9600 / MD-UV380 firmware loader from the Extras menu.
On the firmware loader screen , select the radio type as MD-UV-380

If you have not already selected the MD9600 ‘donor’ firmware, Press the “Select official firmware (donor) file” button and select the file you extracted from the MD9600 firmware package.
MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin

9. Now press “Select Open firmware file & update”, select the OpenUV380 firmware, and the firmware installation process should start.

I did your instructions.
The original TYT firmware only for changing my radio to your suggested firmware by TYT original firmwaredownload (I have download from your links).

Finally on OpenGD77 CPS when I try to upload the OpenGd77 firmware to the radio,
Same error appers...

Same laptop, same, usb cable, same radio.
TYT Orginal CPS and firmwareDownload programs works.
Radio turns to DFU mode.

However with OpenGD77 CPS,
Radio turns to DFU mode, but when clicking to firmware uploade (OpenGD77 ones) error appears.

PS: I have written a long explanation. I dont know why but when I try to send it " FORBIDDEN " shown on the screen.
