Well, perhaps I spoke too soon.... I've tried uploading codeplugs to both a rt3s and a dm1701. Alas these older python programs are NOT replacing the codeplug even though the display on the terminal AND the display on the radio does read (during the uploading) that the codeplug is being written to the radio.

I read on the forum there was a discussion that it would be nice to make multi-platform software. That would be really great! I once did this in Java. Worked on Linux, Win, Mac and Android.
