I guess that's a change in the shipped toolchain.

The GCC shipped with the 1.13.1 is arm-none-eabi-gcc (GNU Tools for STM32 11.3.rel1.20230519-1941) 11.3.1 20220712
The one shiiped with the 1.12.1 is arm-none-eabi-gcc (GNU Tools for STM32 10.3-2021.10.20211105-1100) 10.3.1 20210824 (release)

Since we don't rebuild the project, I guess that change in the SDK (including <sys/types.h>) in Core/Src/sysmem.c is not there.

All of this is under Linux, about Windows case, I don't know what is shipped with.

Cheers.

My mistake.

It looks like installing the new version I now have 2 different versions on my machine at the same time

I'll stay with the old version until STM fix this problem in the next release
