MDUV 380 stuck in FW upgrade mode

Post by Jays3hds » Sat Dec 17, 2022 2:36 pm

Followed the instructions for openGD77 for my mduv380. At first i got this, (Open GD77 support), (Unhanded exception has occurred in your application)
So I tried again. This time it asked for a (code pin) tried one more time. Now its stuck in FW upgrade mode red/green flash. Tried loading code plug, to no avail. Tried going back to original FW, no good, stays in FW upgrade mode. Any help would be appreciated..Thanks

Disconnect and connect the battery. Then try updating FW again. I had a similar hang, the cable was damaged.

I also have no idea what kind of PIN code it is. Do you have a photo of what it looks like?

Can't seem to put picture here. Just a white screen with Pin Code on top, below is _ _ and bottom left it says OK, above green button. When I push OK (Green Button) nothing happens. When I shut radio off it says 73.

This link might work for picture:

With the OpenGD77CPS, press the button to make a new codeplug.
This only has 2 channels in it.

Load that codeplug into the radio.

Did you load the comm driver

Is the OpenGD77 Com device show in the device manager

Press the Details button to show the details of the error.

It is noticed that sometimes several CPS processes can be detected in the task Manager. At the same time, similar failures were observed. Changing the USB port also helps.
1. Reinstall CPS.
2. Restart the PC.
3. Write codeplug by default.
