Hello.
My observations when using the latest firmware version:
1. I noticed that consumption increased slightly - on the previous version of the firmware, by midnight, the charge level was at the level of 50-46%. Now 38-36%. ECO 3, the usage time is about the same. At first I thought it was due to the launch of GPS, but I have not turned on the GPS function for the last 2 days.
2. Occasionally there are modulation failures and modulation distortions in the DMR.

Hi,
Could someone please post images of the RT-3S display with the OpenGD77 firmware installed, in both normal and inverted? If there is a difference, could someone please post the same for the MD-UV380?

I looked at Roger's videos on YouTube, but was looking for static images, if possible.

If they already exist somewhere on here, could someone please point me to them?

Thanks for your help and a big thanks to the team for this awesome project!

Thanks,
Rich

You can generate your own images using the screengrab function in the OpenGD77 CPS

Did you make any actual current measurements?

Battery consumption is related to RF conditions and many other factors.

e.g. if you are listening to a DMR channel and there is FM QRM, the radio will switch out of Eco mode each time there is any signal, to check if it can decode the QRM.

So unless you connected your radio to a dummy load and also shield the radio from RF though the case and PSU etc, then your observations are not scientific.

2. This is common on DMR.
Are you saying that for the same signal, that the OpenGD77 DMR demodulation is worse than the official firmware.

1. There is no way to make a current measurement. This is based on the results of several days. Previously, the battery was running down more slowly. Now it discharges steadily faster.
2. Okay, whatever you say. But this is a repetition of the previous situation - switching channels back and forth restores the modulation.

I found that when working through a duplex repeater, the TS filter is spontaneously turned off - if there is communication in TS1, and in TS2 choose TG1 or TG9 or TG4000 or any private. That is, the conversation from TS1 becomes audible. If you turn on the TG filter, then everything works normally. This behavior probably appeared in the latest version from November 2. I checked for 1801 (the firmware is not the latest version) - this does not happen there.

TS filter latches on the Tx TS then you transmit, otherwise it would be impossible to use a repeater with TS filter disabled

So this is now the correct algorithm of work? Now it is impossible to set "No" to the Filter in DMR mode??
I don't understand something. It used to work that way.

I am sorry but your description is very difficult to understand. Maybe due to the difference in languages.
Please try again to describe your problem, so we can give you an accurate answer.
