Compatibility of RT 3S and DM1801 codeplag

Post by EU1AEQ » Tue Oct 25, 2022 9:50 am

I recorded a codeplag from Rt 3S in DM1801. As a result, the arrow control 1801 did not work. Now the codeplags are not compatible?

Correction.
After experimenting with codeplags, the following was observed:
1. After the failure of the joystick 1801 when switching the channel, the native codeplag was recorded - the joystick operation was restored.
2. After importing channels, contacts and other things using GD77-CSV.exe from RT3S in 1801, the joystick also refused to work. After switching zones, the operation of the joystick was restored.
3. Re-firmware of the RT3S codeplag in 1801 did not cause the joystick to fail.

A New beta version 2022 10 19 was pre-installed on 1801. All manipulations were carried out by the latest version of CPS.
What caused the error is not clear, maybe there is an error in CSS when working with 1801?
Maybe I'm writing to the wrong address, and this is an error New Beta version 2022 10 19 for DM1801?

Zip your codeplug from the radio and post it here

I received the codeplug which you posted to the contact form, and loaded it into my DM-1801 and everything worked fine

When you say the joystick doesnt work, I thought initially you meant that you could not navigate any of the menus.

However, my guess is now that perhaps you mean changing TGs within a TG list.

I recommend you reset the settings in your DM1801 by booting while holding SK2 in case the problem is something to do with codeplug TG list positions held by the settings, and not something specific to the codeplug you read from your RT3S

Yes, the channels and TG in the channel were not switched. Everything worked in the menu.
Interestingly, when I changed the zone using "Fn+ arrow" (it didn't work right away), everything worked. I didn't reset it.
Thanks.

I think the problem is a bug in the all versions of the firmware, because the current position in the TG list is stored in the settings , and is not reset when a new codeplug is loaded, and sometimes this can cause it to be not possible to change TG in the list

I can't remember the exact conditions when this can happen
