No 1750 Hz Toneburst

Post by G1PVZ » Fri Oct 21, 2022 6:55 pm

I've been a long time user of the firmware on my DM-1801 and have just installed the latest Alpha on an new RT3S.

A quick observation is that I can't generate a 1750 Hz toneburst on the RT-3S - this isn't a huge problem as this isn't used now as CTCSS access is common for analogue repeater access here in the UK. However I thought the development team may be interested.

As an aside I would welcome a change to the operation of the UP/DOWN keys so that pressing UP increases values and vice versa.

Many thanks for all your hard work.

On the MDUV380 the 1750 Hz Toneburst is sent by pressing the green key while transmitting.

This is different to the GD77 which uses SK2.

This is due to the MDUV380 code originating from the MD9600 which doesn't have an SK2 key on the microphone.

I will see if this can be made the same as the GD77.

The key mapping is currently being re-written by Roger, The next version will swap the Up and Down Keys.
