ALPHA 2022-10-16-01

New MD-UV380/RT-3S Alpha version if available

downloads/MDUV380/Firmware/928912246f44 ... a781595056

Which includes these bug fixes and enhancements.

* Problem with muted DMR audio should now be fixed.
* Radio show now turn off when battery reached 0%
* Reverse repeater function now displays channel name in inverse video
* Battery life has been improved, by using the sleep function of the C6000, which saves up to 10mA depending on which Eco level is used.
I have not had time to compare the current consumption on the UV380/RT3S versus the GD77 etc. I think the UV380/RT3S will still take more current and therefore have worse battery life than the GD77, but there may be nothing I can do about this, because the problem is the hardware in the UV380/RT3S takes more current.
* Auto power is now working
* When changing from DMR <-- > FM there is no longer short busrt of unsqueched FM audio
* VFO data is no longer occasionally erased when turning off the radio

Note.
After installing this version, the VFO frequencies may be incorrect. If so, reload the codeplug using the CPS.

I would be interested to know if any experiences any problems with the VFO frequencies being completely wrong e.g. 0.40000MHz.

Thanks to Colin G4EML for his tireless work on this radio.

Thanks Friend Roger, complete is much better :D

I noticed something,
Pressing the * key on the RT3S changes the slot for all channels in memory.

Hello, thanks for the work.
There is an error!!!
When set in the menu (Options-Display-Color Invert)
After turning on the radio, this setting is not saved !!!!
After the reboot, the station again gets on the settings (Normal).

I think this error needs to be corrected.
(when installing the new version of alfa 10.16.22, the new CPS E2022 was used. 10.16.01
VFO frequency issues
No!!!)

Ok Sir.
Yes, I forgot to read the user guide first.
This firmware is new to me, so I'll leave the laziness to read, and I'll study a little. 8-)
I'm loving this firmware, thank you for making the difference.

Hi to All
Something is happening at the reception, I am 8 km away from a UHF repeater, without obstacles. RT3S connected to outdoor antenna. Normally I get maximum signal, full scale. With rssi of -106db. Before the rssi was -70db +/-. With the radio antenna I had no reception inside the house. I also notice the same with VHF repeaters near me

I tested it with another equipment and the signals are ok.
I don't know if it's the firmware or the hardware...

I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem

Thanks !!
