Can anyone with the DMR Rx signal dropout problem, please try this version

https://opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380/ ... DUV380.bin
In this version, the volume does not depend on the position of the volume control.

Testing. I heard a decoding failure. Severe speech distortion. Controlled by RT3. There was no distortion there. Both stations are connected to the same node.
The distortion lasted until the end of the transmission. The next transmission worked without distortion. No decoding interruptions have been noticed yet.

Overwritten the firmware, the sound is adjustable. Maybe I made a mistake and did not press the RT3S selection when flashing?

1. There are demodulation interrupts. I suspect that this may be due to the high modulation of the correspondent. But this is not accurate.
2. After flashing again, the volume stopped being adjusted again and the station DID NOT TURN OFF after turning the volume control. This was reset after the battery was turned off.

I can confirm the losing volume control, and turning off to reset didn't work. Had to remove the battery and wait a sec. First time I connected the battery too fast and it was still misbehaving. This happened twice in a few hours of listening. I didn't hear any stations break up though.

I did not notice this problem on my radio, but the problem will be the ADC input, which measures the volume control etc

I will try increasing the priority of the ADC interrupt input

Unfortunately, if I increase the ADC priority, I have the dropout problem again.

The intial problem seems to be that the Interrupt Service Routine (ISR), code which is triggered by hardware signals from the C6000 DMR chip, is not being run, because the CPU is busy

Increasing the priority of the C6000 interrupts, specifically the TimeSlot interrupt signal, fixed the dropout for me, and I did not notice the problem with the volume and on / off inputs.

At the moment, I don't know why the CPU not managing to perform all the tasks that it needs to, in order to receive DMR.

On the GD77, the CPU is operated at 3/4 its normally speed, which is 1/2 the speed of the UV380 CPU, yet the UV380 CPU is not fast enough somehow

Installed the previous firmware version. I can say that there are several times fewer cases of reception interruptions in the new firmware version. There is also information from my friend about the periodic loss of power on the transmission at an installed power of less than 500mW. I have not come across this error, I use a power of 500mW or more.

I am using a RT3S (GPS version, 2022-09-22-01 Alpha firmware; 10 % brightness, ECO set to "0" for testing, usually runs at "3" or above).
[Side note: I switched the device to "dark mode" (Color:Invert) right from the beginning - looks great on this type of display.]

Test signals were via TG31656 or TG91 and coming from one of my MMDVM HS Hats on a RPi Zero W.

The RT3S had some signal/LED dropouts as per earlier posts while one of my RD-5R (Aug 16 beta FW) and BM hoseline continued audio/green LED.

It seemed the dropouts were the highest after switching on the RT3S (switched off/on multiple times during the various tests) and that dropout got less over time (limited testing, so probably a coincidence!).

With the Sep 24 version it seemed far better — yet as per other posts the volume adjustment didn't work any longer - fixed or even no volume no matter what knob position. Switched the device off (well, I thought I did) and put it aside for little while. Then grabbed it again and figured out that the TRX was still running while the rotary knob was in off position. Tried a reflash a few times but with Sep 24 FW version the volume/on/off issues always came back.

Also assumed that some wrong selections in the CPS might have caused this, yet issues remained after reflashing a few times with 100% correct settings, so I went back to Sep 22 version for now.

The problem with the volume control failure manifests itself after a few minutes of conversation. At the same time, the interlocutor said that he did not receive my messages. Disconnecting and connecting the battery for a while restores the operation. But after a few minutes, everything repeats.
Perhaps what is happening is what my friend took for a drop in power, or indeed the power drops to 0.
