Hello.
Discharged the battery to 0% (6.4V). It took about 24 hours.
The battery indicator was blinking, but the station did not switch to the "low battery level" indication. When pressing PTT, the battery was disconnected by the built-in controller. Does it work wrong somehow?
This is a bug.

I will need to investigate why the radio does not turn off, when the battery voltage is almost zero %

Hello.
The automatic shutdown of the radio station by timer does not work.

OK.

I will add that to the list.

These radios do not need Standby mode as they have a realtime clock, so those functions all need to change and that is probably why auto power off is not working

When switching channels, clicks are heard from the speaker:
- when switching from a digital channel to an analog one;
- when switching from 145 mhz to 430 MHz on analog channels, the same is true at 430 mhz to 145. In previous versions as well.

Hi !
When not using the radio for about 1 or 2 days, settings (audio, display, language, etc...) are erased when start up ! Other people have this problem ?
Thank you !!

The radio has a small battery inside to maintain the settings. If this has gone flat then the settings will be lost.

The same applies to the MD9600.

The radio can't listen to two frequencies at the same time, it only has one receiver.

The stock firmware scans between the two frequencies.

OpenGD77 can do the same, just set up a zone with only two channels and then start scanning. Or, in VFO mode set VFO A for one frequency and VFO B for the other frequency and then start Dual Watch. (from Quick Menu)

Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say.

I have just tested and Dual Watch seems to be working as intended. No reduction in sensitivity.

In the vfo dual listening mode, only one frequency is heard, when the signal starts to go on the second frequency, it breaks off after about 0.5 seconds (the LED lights up and immediately goes out at the beginning of transmission and at the end of transmission), and the sensitivity of the walkie-talkie to receive has become lower than on stock firmware
What is your callsign and what are you using the radio for. This firmware is intended for Amateur radio use only

Screen visibilities / feature request: add some margins on screen

Post by UB6LUM » Fri Oct 14, 2022 9:05 pm

hw: TYT MD-UV390

"Problem" is clearly in the photo:
Image

my use case is that I don't usually look straight at the radio screen at 90 degrees, most of the time I look top down, sometimes up (trying to hear someone, screen on this radio deeply seated into radio body - so top line of screen is unreadable/invisible a lot of time with some important infos (like battery or pwr).

So the question: is it possible to add some screen margins? Of course, it will be very cool to have it customizable, but not so important as i think - screen is big enough to place whole bunch of infos without any impact for usability, in my opinion.
