I had not noticed that, but you are correct.
We will fix the manual backlight in a future release.

Has anyone had issues with the UV380 and CTCSS or DCS filters? There seems to be issues with both TX and RX. Can someone else confirm that its not my attenuator or SDR? Haven't had the time to do more testing yet.

I have just re-checked and both CTCSS and DCS are working normally on the MDUV380.
What makes you think that there is an issue?

Almost every time when I turn on radio, my radio is restarting and looks like I loaded new firmware, so every step I have to set from beginning.
Hi!
Isn't the problem already reported and explained in the "Settings Updated Message" thread ?

Sorry for the delayed reply. In my fairly limited functionality testing I had trouble with both my SDR and RD-5Rj(plural, and of course all on Open rd-5r FW) with failure to recognize either CTCSS or DCS and open squelch when receiving transmissions from the uv380. That's all I've got so far

Hello everyone When working on UV390 with repeaters on different bands using CTCSS 88.5 with a width of 25kHz, there is a loss of speech, when NFM is turned on, everything is normal. Do you have any recommendations?

Over deviation prevents CTCSS working correctly. Use the correct bandwidth.
Remember also many repeaters are not configured correctly and overdeviation on repeater transmissions is common.

Also the RF chip in this radio is not good at handling CTCSS with high deviation levels. This is not a firmware issue.
The price of the RF chip is around $1 in China, hence the level of performance.

After custom configuration, after 24 hours with the radio off, all the settings that were previously configured are lost

Your backup battery is flat.

Leave the radio turned on for at least 24 hours, preferably longer to fully charge the battery

I am trying to find a fix for this, however at the moment we have a bigger problem becuase the firmware does not run at all on the latest RT3S radios
