Retevis RT-90 Password in CPS

Post by DL1BIR » Tue Mar 12, 2024 11:05 am

Hello, I got an RT-90 from an estate. Unfortunately the previous owner used a password in the CPS.
Unfortunately, all attempts with "standard passwords" are in vain :-(
Is there a "general reset" option?
And lastly: Which version of the OpenGD77 software is currently the last stable version? Thank you in advance, Uwe

Is that for a different device, or does Retevis use the same thing in all devices?

Is there no keyboard shortcut that can be used to reset the device?

There is no keyboard reset.

The password bypass method is common to all TYT manufactured radios. The RT 90 is made by TYT.

BTW

if you install OpenGD77 on the radio it doesn't use the original codeplug etc containing the password so you will be able to use the radio, albeit you will then need to load an OpenGD77 codeplug using the OpenGD77 CPS
