Nope, it's not documented for the MD-9600. I will fix that.
Hello, F1RMB!

I rolled back to the firmware from February 2023 and got a "settings updated" response, but the channels remained))) Then I updated the firmware to the latest version. Look at the DMR status on the old firmware "TS2" and on the latest firmware, it's "cS2". Is that okay?

This is normal. cS2 indicates that the timeslot is being controlled by your contact setting. When you define a talkgroup or contact you can also assign it a timeslot.

Loading new firmware will never reset the channels. They are defined in the codeplug and that never reset. If you want to remove channels just upload a new codeplug.

So, after two firmware updates (old and latest), do I now have the default OpenGD77 settings, and only the channels from the old configuration are saved? Did nothing else from the old settings get preserved?

Hold P3 when turning on the radio and the press ENT to accept the new settings.
That will reset all settings. Create a new codeplug using the CPS and load it. That will reset all channels.
