If you're using same antenna and transmission line with the IC-V8000, yes: the TYT has a hardware issue or the Icom has a more sensitive receiver (this is VERY possible). My bet is the second one...

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but I am going to call r and l electronic when I bought it and see what they say
