How to adjust output power

Post by KM4VBA » Mon Jul 03, 2023 8:09 pm

Looking at the guide, you use {D} < or > to adjust power on the fly. This is not working on my MD 9600. How do you adjust power on fly?
Thanks for responses. Loving this software over the TYT.

P1 + Up/Down arrow on radio

Longpress D and then B/C buttons on mic.

Thank you for the response. That is what I'm doing, long D and using the B and C buttons and that is not working. Is there a particular setting in the CPS to use the function? I've tried Master, 40W and -W+ settings. Not working those setting. I would expect to see the display change wattage settings as well as the watt meter. Not see a change at all.

Problem solved. Operator error. Long press D for 2 seconds and then only use B or C, otherwise B and C control squelch. I was holding D down the whole time. My bad. Thanks for the response.

This is a limitation of the microphone hardware. It is not possible to detect two keys pressed at the same time. Hence we had to use 'long press D and release' to toggle the shift function.

Hehe, I was thinking of being more pedagogic in my answer by trying to explain that you should wait for the special beep that signal that
we are in latch mode after long press D

:)
