MD-9600 v2.1 wont transmit on Duplex DMR channels

Situation: MD-9600 with V2.1-170608 printed on the PCB while v01.27 factory CPS reports Hardware version 2.08 and MCU V006.003.
Firmware: OpenGD MD9600_firmware_V2HW.bin built 20230228150211
Analog channels and DMR simplex channels work OK.

Issue: no transmit on DMR duplex channels. The same codeplug works 100% on GD77 and RT3s.

Make sure you are in range of the repeater and the colour code and frequencies are correct. DMR radios won't transmit on Duplex if they can't hear the repeater.
However as you say that the same codeplug works on other radios I assume you are testing the same way so that is unlikely to be the cause.

Try running the the radio at full power. The early versions had a design problem with the PA stage. It had a slow rise time at low power settings, so the DMR burst was distorted and was not received correctly by the repeater.

Colin, Thanks for the reminder. Problem solved.
I was testing against my simplex hotspots. Now that I have turned on my duplex hotspot all is well.
