Tyt MD-9600 Firmware problem [Problem with Windows OS Language]

Post by TA4GRG » Sun Mar 26, 2023 9:50 am

I'm trying to upload firmware to my Tyt Md9600 v4 radio but I always get the same error message. I tried many times. I follow the path described. I tried it on two different computers. same error again. I guess I'm making a mistake somewhere. I am able to update the firmware without any issues with the firmware. I installed it from STM DFUSE own site. the software is running. I am attaching some photos below. I will be grateful if you could help me.

Hi,

stupid question, but do you set your MD-9600 in bootloader mode before trying to upload the firmware (press and hold Orange+P1 buttons then plug to the power source) ?

Cheers.

The device is in bootloader mode. I am doing as you said. There is nothing on the screen and the lights are blinking.

Okay, so that's normal (backlight is blinking in bootloader mode).

Does your MD-9600 is listed as "STM Device in DFU Mode" in the Window's device manager ?

opengd77 cps does not see the device. whereas the dfuse dome program sees the device in bootloader mode. I am able to load in firmware with factory cps.

Tried to run the CPS as admin ?
Windows version (and locale) ?
CPS version ?

(the latter are useful for giving information to other people here).
