I have placed an order for one MD-9600 on Aliexpress recently and it's on the way over. Price was about $263 USD including about $15 (? forgot exact amount) shipping. It should arrive in the later Feb time. I will update when I receive it here. Wish me luck!

I had been hoping to buy one for a while, but couldn't decide as I already own too many DMR radios including mobiles (XPR 5550, XPR 4550, VXD-7200, CSI 800D, Anytone 578UV), but with this news, I have to jump before it's too late. I guess I will have to sell some of the other ones as I can't use them all.

The one I ordered does not include GPSr. I will see if I will add an external one w/ the mod later, depending on my use case.
There is definitely old stock of some radios, still being shipped, so you may be lucky.

Re: GPS

The internal GPS is almost useless, and the mod to be able to attach an external GPS is relatively easy, so I'd not recommend anyone actually buy the version with the GPS in it.

Yes, Roger, I agree.

Thanks again for all the great work, even though the hardware market is getting challenging for us all here.
The problem is the global chip shortage, which is effecting all manufacturers, but I'm sure that using a non-genuine CPU would also be a cost saving, so I can't see TYT going back to using genuine chips, even when they become available again :-(

Does anyone have a MD9600 or RT-90 which does not work with the firmware?

I need to find someone to test a fix for the Clone CPU chip
