Hi Roger, I have a 9600 GPS with these features
Version 2.1 on board
Hardware V 2.09
MCU S006.024
CPS V 1.27
I have everything else I just miss FW Open to try the new adventure. Congratulations to everyone for the excellent work on the GD 77.
Thank you

Currently there seems to be a problem with some radios occasionally transmitting on the wrong timeslot, which seems to occur at the start of transmission to a repeater or duplex hotspot.
The problem is possibly the timing of the first Tx pulse, which can result in the first pulse being transmitted on both TS1 and TS2 under some circumstances.

I am trying to find a solution to this problem, but I'm not 100% sure the wrong TS problem is only caused by only the initial Tx pulse, or whether there may be other problems.

Hi Roger,
Its nice to see OpenGD77 continuing.
I have had a MD9600 for quite a while and stopped using it when the AT578 came out.
Its a version 1 MD9600.
I still have the original code plug.
I have the firmware 3.04
CPS 1.18

At this point since I am not using it I would be glad to help test the Alpha firmware for the MD9600. My experience with Open GD77 on my GD77, DM-1801 and RD5R has been great.

I'll emial you the firmware that runs on V2 hardware.

AFIK, the earilest hardware that was ever released to the public is V2.x ,e.g if you look at the silk screen printing on the PCB

So even if your radio reports as "V1" its almost certainly V2.x

After opening the radio the pc board says "MD9600-UV-V2.1-170608"
I am relieved to know its HW V2.1. I sent the first 9600 back and they replaced it about a month later.

I have the MD9600 FW from January 23 loaded.
I loaded my open GD77 codeplug on the 9600. Its working.

I tested on Parrot and it sounded good.

There is a Net on the PNWR2 talk group at 6:30 pm PST. That will be a good live test.

Right now I an figuring out the mic buttons and using the ENT key on the front panel to select.

I am able to change power level and squelch with the mic buttons.

Nice job. If you need anything specific tested let me know.
