[Resolved] DM1801 original images
Re: DM1801 original images
I think I downloaded from here
https://radio.denied.org.ua/index.php?d ... 20DM-1801/
Baofeng seem to have newer versions somewhere, but I've never found them.
(Not just the 1801, there are hidden versions of RD-5R newer than the one on Radioddity's site, but I don't know where to download that from either)

Re: DM1801 original images
I just got the "low bt version" message on my GD-77 when I loaded the latest official GD-77 firmwaresfoto wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 5:23 amI'm trying to pinpoint some of reception issues i have but unfortunately it seems that my flash dump is FUBAR so i cant revert to stock to check if it happens there as well, and trying to flash publicly available 2.1.9/2.0.9 images results in either blank screen or low bt version.
I tracked down the problem to being caused because the copy protection bytes had been erased in my radio, but I had a backup, so I was able to restore then via the hardware debugger.
I'm not sure if I erased the copy protection bytes or whether something in the latest official firmware did this.
Its not a big problem for me to fix, because I have a hardware debugger connected to most of my radios, but it would be a big problem for anyone else, as I think the only way to recover is to using a hardware debugger on the GD-77

Re: DM1801 original images
AFIK the "Low version" problem occurs because the DM-1801 uses the bottom of the Flash memory to store the hardware version
Did you try restoring the partial Flash from here when the OpenGD77 was installed.
